• Dramatist – 01 post
• Drummer / Octa Pad Player (Proficiency in percussion) – 01 post - Category: Group ‘C’ in Level-02 of the Pay Matrix under RS(RP) Rules 2016.
Educational & Professional Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: Passed 12th (10+2) or equivalent with at least 50% marks (no minimum percentage required for SC/ST, ex-servicemen, and candidates with higher qualifications).
- Professional Cultural Qualification: Applicants must possess a Degree/Diploma/Certificate in the specified cultural discipline (drama or percussion) from a government-recognized institution.
- Desirable: Experience in the cultural field with performances on platforms like AIR/Doordarshan, national awards, or rich performance record.
Age Criteria (as on 01/01/2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years.
- Maximum Age:
• Unreserved (UR) – 30 years
• OBC – 33 years
• SC/ST – 35 years - Relaxations: Age relaxations for railway employees with continuous service, widows/divorced women, PwBD candidates, and ex-servicemen as per rules.
Selection Process
Applicants will be evaluated through a multi-stage assessment:
- Written Test (Objective Type) – General awareness, aptitude, language, and professional cultural knowledge.
- Practical Demonstration – Live performance or demonstration in the relevant cultural discipline.
- Assessment of Testimonials & Achievements – National-level performances, awards, and certificates.
Salary & Pay
- Appointed candidates will be placed in Group ‘C’ / Level-2 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. Salary and allowances will be as per Indian Railways norms under the RS(RP) Rules 2016.
